WSIB selects Guidewire InsuranceSuite for claims management

Canada-based Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) has selected Guidewire InsuranceSuite solution for rating, underwriting, policy administration, billing, and claims management.

WSIB will deploy InsuranceSuite to increase customer service levels by providing options that suit customer communications preferences, more easily and quickly implement system changes.

The solution will also enable WSIB to reduce the cost of processing claims and managing accounts and configuration tools as well as to merge and standardize claims, account management, and billing systems and handling processes with significant process efficiencies.

Additionally, the solution will replace WSIB's internally built systems to increase flexibility, respond quickly to business changes and to enhance customer service.

WSIB Transformation chief information officer and vice president John Hill said, "We are excited to give our customers a 360 degree view of their relationship with us as well as more flexibility around how they choose to interact with us whether that be in a mobile or traditional browser-based environment."

Guidewire InsuranceSuite has been designed to improve the mission-critical operations of property/casualty insurers using a modular approach.

InsuranceSuite enables insurers to deliver insurance the way they want, to their policyholders and agents, while enhancing underwriting discipline and lowering operational costs.

Guidewire Software provides flexible core system software to property and casualty insurers.

The WSIB provides wage loss benefits, medical coverage as well as administers compensation and no-fault insurance for Ontario workplaces.
