Wells Fargo Insurance acquires JFK Consulting Group

Wells Fargo Insurance Services USA, a part of Wells Fargo, has acquired Kansas-based employee benefits brokerage and consulting firm JFK Consulting Group.

JFK Consulting, serving primarily in Kansas and Missouri, offers employee benefit brokerage and consulting services including small and mid-market fully-insured plans, large self-funded corporate plans, public sector employers, and association plans.

JFK Consulting president Jess Knoth said by joining Wells Fargo Insurance Services, JFK expanded the capabilities to better serve customers and help them protect their businesses and employees.

Wells Fargo Insurance executive vice president, insurance brokerage East Kevin Kenny said the partnership with the JFK Consulting will help to strengthen the company's commitment to maintaining a strong presence in Kansas.

"We work with our local bankers to provide customers with fully integrated financial and insurance solutions for their businesses," Kenny said.

The acquisition closed on 29 November 2010. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
