Hub international acquires assets of insurance broker Roeder & Moon

IBR Staff Writer Published 07 July 2011

Chicago-based insurance brokerage Hub International has acquired the assets of Roeder & Moon (R&M), a Texas-based insurance brokerage firm.

Over the past 20 years, R&M has developed insurance and risk management programs for the entertainment industry, including coverage for TV shows, feature films, commercials, concerts, special events, film festivals, entertainers, recording studios, equipment rental companies, post-production facilities, and non-profit arts organizations.

Following this acquisition, R&M will become part of Hub International Rigg (Hub Texas).

Jeffrey Moon Evans, president of R&M, will join Hub Texas and will report to Gregory Louvier, president and chief operations officer, Hub Texas.

The R&M team will move into Hub's existing offices in Dallas.

Louvier said this transaction will expand the existing industry offerings and presence in the Dallas area.

Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
