The Hartford has introduced a new absence management suite of products and services to help employers reduce costs, maximize productivity and better manage employee absence.

The company has introduced Employer View for Absence Management web reporting tool, three webinars and a digital educational resource, Absence Insights for absence research, which includes a number of absence related articles and videos.

Additionally, the company has unveiled a service that helps employers manage requests of employee for reasonable accommodations as given under the Americans With Disabilities Act Amendments Act of 2008 (ADAAA).

The new web reporting tool includes dashboards that review company-wide absences at a glance, access to key details on specific absence events and integrated absence reports with a variety of filtering options.

Three webinars will be held by the company in May, which include an overview of the federal Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), leave as an accommodation under the amended ADAAA and California regulations on pregnancy and disability discrimination.

The Hartford Group Benefits Claims senior vice president Eric Brandt said, "Our absence management services include prevention, intervention, interpretation, and coordination of absence with the goal of healthy and productive employees."
