Fortegra hires new president for its wholesale surplus lines broker business

IBR Staff Writer Published 30 August 2011

Fortegra Financial, a US-based insurance services company, has hired Bob Abramson as executive vice president and president of its wholesale surplus lines broker business Bliss & Glennon.

Abramson replaces the former president of Bliss & Glennon, Dan Reppert.

Abramson will report directly to Richard Kahlbaugh, chairman and CEO of Fortegra Financial, and participate on the company's senior leadership team.

While at Bliss & Glennon, Abramson has served on the executive leadership team in various roles, including the National E & S director, co-owner and president.

Kahlbaugh said Bob is a seasoned insurance professional with significant leadership experience managing this operation. Bob led the growth of this business for over twenty years.

Fortegra Financial provides distribution and administration services and insurance-related products to insurance companies, insurance brokers and agents and other financial services companies in the US. It sells services and products directly to businesses rather than directly to consumers.
