Elephant Insurance selects Guidewire PolicyCenter to increase operational efficiencies

A direct-to-consumer writer of automobile insurance Elephant Auto Insurance has deployed Guidewire's PolicyCenter as its new underwriting and policy administration solution, to increase operational efficiencies and enhance customer service capabilities.

Capable of providing flexibility to grow with its business, the PolicyCenter will be used to update Elephant's policy system to increase its customer service capabilities while enabling them to better underwriting risk analysis.

Elephant Auto Insurance operations manager Heather McKee said, "We attribute the seamlessness of the project to our experience with Agile methodology and the consistency of the Guidewire systems after our successful ClaimCenter and BillingCenter projects."

In addition to help developing and configuring rating and system changes internally, the PolicyCenter will enable Elephant to improve operational efficiency through the automation of formerly manual tasks.

Additionally, the solution enables the company to standardize on a platform to promote data integrity and seamless integration with other market solutions as well as provides instant access to information standards and tools that allow a rapid assessment of applicant risk while reducing excessive risks exposure.

The company is also using Guidewire Rating Management for more precise control and responsiveness over rating and pricing.
