IBR Staff Writer Published 23 July 2012

Insurance broker Bolton & Company has acquired US based independent insurance agency Reaume Financial Group.

Reaume Financial, founded in 1982, provides employee benefit services in southern California.

As part of the deal, Reaume Financial president Bradley Reaume will join Bolton & Company as executive vice president and will relocate to Bolton's Pasadena office.

Bolton & Company president and CEO Steve Brockmeyer said that the acquisition is a very important component of the company's strategic growth plan for 2012.

"The agency's philosophy and dedication to providing their clients with excellent service will be a great match for us," Brockmeyer said.

As a partner of Assurex Global, US based Bolton employs more than 120 people and places over $200m in annual premiums on behalf of their clients.

Bolton provides insurance, risk management services, employee benefits and financial products to clients globally.
