Arthur J. Gallagher & Co buys New Zealand’s retail insurance broker Reid Manson

US-based insurance brokerage and risk management services firm Arthur J. Gallagher & Co (AJG) has acquired New Zealand-based retail insurance broker Reid Manson.

Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

Based in Timaru, Reid Manson offers commercial, rural, property, and personal lines insurance services to middle-market and individual customers across South and Mid-Canterbury.

The retail insurance broker is specialized in developing programs for commercial, small business, motor, home and contents insurance coverages.

Under the leadership of Gallagher's company Crombie Lockwood's CEO Carl O'Shea, Reid Manson's David Reid and his associates will continue to operate from their current locations in Timaru and Ashburton.
