Aon to move headquarters to London

Aon is all set to move its headquarters from Delaware, US to the UK, which was proposed during a special stockholder meeting held at its office in Chicago, Illinois, US.

The move follows after receiving 98% votes from its stockholders for the approval of previously proposed transaction of the company, representing over 82% of the total outstanding voting stock of Aon Corporation.

The transaction is expected to close on or around 2 April 2012, subject to satisfaction of certain regulatory approvals and other closing conditions set forth in the merger agreement.

Aon offers risk management services, insurance and reinsurance brokerage, and human capital consulting to insurance companies, corporations, governments, businesses, independent agents and brokers, professional organisations and other entities.
