Abacus Selects Allianz To Expand Online PAF Program

IBR Staff Writer Published 24 February 2010

Abacus Insurance Brokers, a distributer of specialty insurance products online, has selected Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS) to expand its online personal articles floater (PAF) program.

The company said that the new program will provide monoline inland marine coverage for schedules of jewelry, fine arts, collections, antiques and other valuables on a global basis.

Darren Lewin, vice president of programs at Abacus, said: “Working with AGCS allows Abacus to expand the PAF offering to include the entire US. We are pleased to further strengthen our relationship with AGCS with this top notched product that responds to the needs of our nationwide broker network.”

Mikki Williams, the US marine head of West region at AGCS, said: “As a leading global marine insurer that provides innovative products and services, AGCS is proud to partner with Abacus, whose online platform is an example of the company's forward-thinking vision. This affiliation will enhance the PAF program, while also providing an additional avenue to help clients access AGCS marine insurance services across the US.”

Abacus manages insurance programs that function online and through the proprietary abacus.net platform, brokers access specialty programs from insurance companies.
